Target Audience

Before starting the music video we had to think about what audience we wanted to attract, there were you children, teens/ young adult, adult and other. We wanted to chooses something we could relate to and if we liked it that that meant that others in the group would like, this is why we chose to go with the teen/ young adult. As a group we started stereotyping this group, young, 15 to 30 years old, liked listening to music rather than TV, a person that listens to the chart on 'The Big Top 40 show' or 'Radio 1'. We then went on to see what was in the chart at this time. Taio Cruz, Olly Murs, Bruno Mars and Tinie Tempah. a realized that they where of tree genres, Pop, R&B and Rap. We then thought about what we all liked the best and we chose Rap. We also knew that this genre of music is liked by the mass audience.

With the CD cover we needed to reach the same audience so we looked into famous artists to get some inspiration (This section can be found under the heading of 'DVD Cover'). with looking at two key artists Eminem and Jay Z. We chose that Black and white convention from Jay Z but took the semplisity style from Eminem. We believed that choosing these two key conventions we would be reaching out two are mass audience. We also wanted the album art work to define what the track was about so we chose a skyline to symbolise wealth and fortune and we chose an estate area to symbolise where he was from. This meant that two types of people could relate to the cover, rich wealth people at the front and poor people at the back.

We wanted to magazine cover to be like and imagery of the music video. We knew that this would a pinical point because if people did not know what his music was like this shows him rather than lets them hear it. We wanted to shows them who the artist was, what the album looked like and what other people though of the song and video. I believe are magazine cover would reaches out  to the same audience and I believe that it would be suitable for magazine such as Vibe.
